Been a long time since a message was posted here. Admit to the site being somewhat neglected by me.
This time last year, there was a possibility Track wouldn't survive due to recession and the Woolworths collapse taking EUK with them. Lost a fair amount of money on the Joe Brown album and all kinds of other negative things that don't help a small independent survive
But... somehow we did survive.
This year already looks brighter.
To be honest, I spent far more time on the networking sites of Tracks, Joe Brown's, Big Country's, Dirty Strangers and.........Facebook.
The Dirty Strangers have new recordings up their sleeve. Talking to John Sinclair about releasing all his material. A new Thunderclap Newman lineup has some gigs next month and more to come from them. There will be more news on Big Country and we are talking to all kinds of people from Morgan Fisher and John Fiddler to Russell Webb, Brian James, re-release of Tanz Der Youth, JC Carroll for starters.
I am also very excited about a monthly or bi-monthly new band sampler that is being conceived. More on this soon.
More on everything soon.
Hoping for a better year commercially this year. Won't be releasing many cd's but downloads a plenty with any luck.
The site is old now and needs updating and hopefully as the year progresses, it will be.

ian,i did a poetry reading called "poets that walk" back in sussex uni days.I used Tanz der youth as my backing track.Would brian,you etc like a copyof my oeuvre?
I wrote most of it on the Circle line speeding off my bo,nce.
The artwork is by Neal Jones who later did Iron Maiden.My sister Liz was at school in Amlwch with him. |
